Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear has improved in approval polling, according to a new statewide survey.
The governor, who is running for re-election in 2023, has increased from 55 percent to 60 percent approval since last year, according to Mason-Dixon Polling. Thirty-two percent of Kentuckians disapprove of the job he is doing.
The poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida from January 19 through January 22, 2022. A total of 625 registered Kentucky voters were interviewed statewide by telephone. Those interviewed were randomly selected from a phone-matched Kentucky voter registration list that included both land-line and cell phone numbers, according to Mason-Dixon.
The margin for error, according to standards customarily used by statisticians, is no more than +/- 4 percentage points.
