Massive Fundraising Disparity as Booker/Paul Head Into Final Weeks of Senate Campaign

In the final weeks of Kentucky’s U.S. Senate campaign between Sen. Rand Paul and Democratic nominee Charles Booker, the two-term incumbent has a massive fundraising advantage.

According to his Federal Election Commission report, Booker is reporting raising $5.8 million and has $701,368.81 in cash on hand. Paul has far out-raised Booker with $26 million raised, and $8 million still on hand.

Paul has been blitzing the state as Congress takes a state work period. Booker has also been hitting the road – he appeared in eastern Kentucky for Pikeville Pride over the weekend, where he spoke alongside 2022 Kentucky Teacher of the Year Willie Carver, and state Rep. Keturah Herron. Booker also attended the Court Days Festival.

Last week, Booker released a new campaign ad featuring a Kentucky veteran affected by Rand Paul’s “no” vote on The PACT Act.

“Honestly, I’m disgusted with Rand Paul,” says John Kasey, a U.S. Marine Veteran featured in the ad.

Paul explained why he voted against the PACT Act in an August appearance on ‘The Hill.’

Paul has skipped public debates with Booker. There has been no public polling on this race since January.

Kentuckians head to the polls on Nov. 8 to cast their votes.
