In the 12-way race for the GOP nomination for Governor, Daniel Cameron’s campaign says they’re leading the pack in a poll they released on Friday.
The statewide poll from Meeting Street Research shows Cameron leading the field with 39 percent of respondents saying they would vote for him if the race were held today. The poll, which was paid for by Cameron’s campaign, shows Ryan Quarles with 8 percent, Kelly Craft with 8 percent, Eric Deters with 2 percent, Mike Harmon at 2 percent, Alan Keck at 1 percent, and 38 percent of respondents undecided.
The poll was conducted among 500 GOP primary voters in Kentucky from Jan. 9 – 11, using a mix of live cell phone, landline interviewing, and text-to-web interviewing, according to Meeting Street. The margin of error is plus or minus 4.38 percentage points.
The polling also shows Cameron leading in name id with 81 percent of voters saying they have heard of him, and 62 percent holding a favorable opinion of him.
Across every demographic, and every corner of the commonwealth, Daniel is winning. Older, younger, Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, Paducah, rural, urban, suburban, he’s winning it all. Conservative, establishment and Trump-only voters all support Daniel. Republican voters are making it very clear that they believe only Daniel Cameron can unite our party and finally defeat Andy Beshear. That’s a promise Kentucky voters can take to the bank.”
