Attorney General Daniel Cameron has released his first television ad of the GOP campaign for governor targeting Democratic incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear.
Cameron’s ad, released on Wednesday, attacks Beshear for shutting down churches early in the COVID-19 pandemic.
“When it mattered most, Daniel Cameron stood up for our First Amendment rights,” said Campaign Manager Gus Herbert. “Any candidate running for Governor can talk tough – but only Daniel Cameron has delivered for conservatives. He stood up to Andy Beshear and won victories for our shared values and our communities of faith. Republicans need a bold conservative leader who has delivered for Kentucky. That’s Daniel Cameron.”
Cameron is one of a dozen candidates seeking the GOP nomination to challenge Beshear, the presumed Democratic nominee, this fall.
