The Louisville Metro Council voted to appoint Ben Reno-Weber as the councilman for Metro District 8 – replacing Cassie Chambers Armstrong who won a special election to serve in the state Senate.
Dozens sought consideration from the Louisville Jefferson County Democratic Party to fill Chambers Armstrong’s unexpired term on the Metro Council.
Reno-Weber is the deputy director of the University of Louisville’s Health Equity Innovation Hub. He will be on the ballot for Democrats during the special election conducted with the General Election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
