Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Kentucky, is wasting precious little time in hitting the road and launching an ad in the General Election race against Republican gubernatorial nominee Attorney General Daniel Cameron.
The minute-long digital ad, titled four years, has Beshear direct-to-camera talking about what Kentuckians have overcome during his first term in office.
“Andy has guided Kentucky through these difficult few years with compassion, empathy and optimism,” said campaign manager Eric Hyers. “It’s an optimism rooted in Kentucky values, neighbors helping neighbors and faith that we can build a brighter future. And we’re seeing results. Under his leadership, we have 46,000 new good-paying jobs, $24 billion in new private sector investment, infrastructure projects across the commonwealth including clean, reliable drinking water to areas that had been overlooked and underserved and the resources to help communities devastated by tornadoes and flooding not just pull through but to thrive. Kentuckians know that Andy is always working to do right by everyone—and that’s why he is consistently one of the most popular governors in the country.”
The General Election is November 7.
