After a career in broadcast television and nearly 6 years with WHAS-TV in Louisville as Political Editor, Chris Williams joined the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) in April of this year.
Williams brings his expertise in communications to KLC as their legislative and visual communications manager working with cities around the state in an effort to keep them informed on what’s happening in the Capitol.
The Kentucky League of Cities is beginning to put together a package of legislative priorities that can benefit Kentucky’s cities. Already in interim committee meeting the KLC is setting their agenda and informing their members of stipulations surround the American Rescue Plan funds.
After covering Frankfort for nearly 6 years, Williams shared his favorite moment/ most interesting moment covering Kentucky politics with a behind the scenes look at an encounter with former Gov. Matt Bevin outside of the Capitol during the teacher protests.
