A Republican businessman is front and center in the latest campaign ad from Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear.
The ad, which was first reported by Medium Buying, features a small business owner who says he did not vote for Beshear in 2019 but will be supporting the Governor in 2023.
“He’s getting things done and that’s what matters. Beshear has been great for business,” the man identified as Jim, says in the ad. “I’m a Republican. I did not support Andy Beshear the first time, he’s got my vote this time around.”
The ad is released as Beshear takes shots from Republicans around job creation efforts and how unemployment numbers are calculated.
Beshear faces Republican gubernatorial nominee Daniel Cameron in the November election.
